It has been announced that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Ougon no Kaze / Le Bizarre Avventura Di GioGio Parte 5 Vento Aureo) will get an anime adaptation in October 2018. Fans of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series have been waiting eagerly for an anime adaptation of the popular Vento Aureo story.
Vento Aureo (Which means ‘Golden Wind’ in Italian) is the fifth story arc of the manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics. The story focuses on Giorno Giovanna, his dream to become a powerful gangster, and his friends. It is set two years after Part 4 and takes place in Italy.
The upcoming series has revealed its first character visual and the main staff. Naokatsu Tsuda, who directed the first four anime series, will this time be the general director. Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi will be directing the series. The series composition will be done by Yasuko Kobayashi, who already worked on the fourth series as well. The character design will be done by Takahiro Kishida, who is working on a JoJo series for the first time. The anime will be produced at david production.
Prior to the broadcast in October, there will be pre-screenings of the first episode. The good news is that these screenings will not only take place in Tokyo (5 July 2018 at the Italian Cultural Institute Tokyo, Anyerri Hall) but also in Paris, France and Los Angeles, USA.
In Paris, the Episode will be shown during Japan Expo on 5 July 2018, 15:30 (UTC +2) at the Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. It will be shown in Japanese with French subtitles.
The US premiere will be on 6 July 2018 during AnimeExpo 15:00 (PDT) in the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles. General director Naokatsu Tsuda will be at the event and will be holding a panel discussion and answer questions. There will also be a cross talk with the voice actors of the English version, an autograph event and more. The first episode will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
